Summer Fun Part One

So much summer stuff to get to. Deep breath. Let's go!

We started the summer with lots of pool time. Wyatt's been especially excited about working on his new swimming skills:

We also took a couple of trips to Ikea in order to facilitate the switching of Wyatt to the top bunk, Jonas to the bottom bunk, and Ethan to his own room. He's liking it -- especially his ultra nice queen sized mattress we got for a steal from a friend. And yes, he needs some cool stuff on his walls.

Wyatt has been just as interested in playing with his buddies as ever, even though his brothers and sisters are art home. And this was his last picture with Max (the cute redhead in the middle) who just moved with his family to Omaha, much to Wyatt's dismay.

Elise also had a ball attending Animinneapolis, an anime convention in (you guessed it) Minneapolis. Elise and Ashlee dressed up in a "cosplay" (anime-speak for costume) from a series called Angel Beats and hooked up with some more middle school friends, all wearing cosplays of their own.  She looks pretty good with purple hair, don't you think?

Ethan and Elise also had a great week at EFY. It was Ethan's second year and Elise's first attending the Minnesota session at the campus of Gustavus Adolphus, a university about an hour and a half south of us. Not only did they have fun with friends old and new, but they got some excellent food (literal and spiritual) to boot.

Elise and her gang:

Elise is second from the right, wearing a super cute maxi dress.

Ethan and his gang. (There are a number of pictures of Ethan obscuring his face with various objects. It was a theme.)

We also wound up our baseball season. Jonas's team (with Forrest as coach) had a couple of tough losses during the final tournament, but they had a great time nonetheless.

 Batter up!

Some of the kids on the team after the final game:

It was fun to watch Wyatt play his first season of t-ball too. Nothing cuter than five year olds in baseball pants, sticking their tongues out in concentration. And there are a lot of pictures, yes, as a result of all the cuteness:

And that's it for part one. Next up, Craguns! And after that, our legendary Utah trip! Sooo many pictures, yessiree. And the summer's only halfway over.

Those tball pics are FABULOUS. Wyatt looks younger to me in the photos then he does in real life.

I wish our t-ball had the cute pants, we only get the t-shirts and it's the pants that make those uniforms so cute!

Ohh....EFY. I remember it so well. Your teenagers are so old!

Elise does look good with purple hair. Maybe I shouldn't encourage that, but she can pull it off. (-:

Oh my goodness - those pictures of Wyatt in his baseball 'costume" are to die for! And I just saw him in person! Loved Lou in her wig too - and Ethan at EFY - he's the man. Thanks for the great post.
We loved seeing you all!

When we saw those pictures of Wyatt we said "Have we been in Sandy THAT long?". He looks like a pro.
Thanks for sharing.
Ethan: Remember, Puck or Bottom.
